Picked this brass table up from a st Vincent depaw today for $15! Hooved feet. Sturdy construction, seems to h really good quality just needs a good polish. Thinking it could possibly be a Maison Jansen?? But I couldn't find any definitive markings. Legs underneath the hooves are stamped 32 and 3&4. IMG_20250516_205205_(1080_x_1434_pixel).jpg

Like that. A classic. And very handy shape and size.

Here's Maison Jansen for comparison. A bit more elaborate and elegant.

I wonder if that red decanter is part of the Scandi glassware.

The cross looks hand-decorated, and if it's sandcast I'd say slam dunk for NA.

Saw a french 5 sided porcelain sugar bowl today but one handle was missing/broken off. Are things like that worth getting at all? Obviously one could resell the lid, but that's all I could think of.

Also got an autographed baseball today. 20250517_095242(1).jpg

Yep, kutani. Might find the mark on gotheborg. Your Seth Thomas clock reminds me of an antique wood-framed mirror that I bought at auction for cheap years ago. (Everything in my life is years or decades ago, LOL!) It has a reverse painted scene on glass at the top. It's missing a piece that had broken off at some point. Why I bought it, I'll never know. Still have it somewhere.

Went to a community sale today - 30 houses officially. I only bought from four, and one of those was lemonade and a cupcake. One piece however made the sound of Bear reaching over my shoulder. It's a signed Waterford dragon sitting on its hoard. I snagged some jewelry at a fundraiser sale too, and have yet to go through it.

I am very unhappy with my lack of finds today. At least I avoided buying junk just for the sake of buying.

The last time I went to one of those I was vastly disappointed. IF they had anything good it was long gone. After about 10 houses I rolled on down the road.

They really stink around here anymore. You float around an entire neighborhood to find one house selling stuff, and it ends up being beauty products..

IMG_0836.jpeg Embroidery art is not something I usually look to buy. But I thought this was beautifully done (I really must be getting old) Crimson-breasted shrike. Was allmost $3. IMG_0834.jpeg
