I just put a green pot just like your yellow one in a mall today. It's it marked USA, with the lower loop of the S drooping below the U and A? I've always believed that is Brush pottery.

I am fixing a few things for a friend to sell (you might have seen the two bracelets I asked about on the jewelry board. After I cleaned them, she fell in love with the multicolor one and is keeping it.) Two threads broke on the beaded necklace, but I salvaged what was left. I just thought the beads were too pretty to throw in a craft jar. The lariat necklace was knotted up, when I left her today she was wearing that.

The bracelets I cleaned if you didn't see them on the jewelry board.

What I can't believe is it got through to the shelves. Here I'm lucky to find intact silverplate. Or heck, undented pewter. Congrats!

I can't find silverplate anymore, either. There is a thrift that has silverplated forks, knives, spoons, etc., small stuff, for $1 each, Tuesday is Seniors discount. I used to pick up larger pieces all the time, nope.

Cleaning the trunk out of recent finds. No great shakes, but fun, and for the prices I pay, I donate things to local church, food bank, and charity shops (not the big names.) This pile was a total of $10 (even got more in the pile, these are the best.)
This is a bit better porcelain doll, Pamela Phillips for Seymour Mann, will be donated.

That's weird. Our good wills here are always absolutely full of silver plate. The downfall is they overprice that crap out of it. Bland plates being sold for $10+ and anything relatively ornamental $20+. It's funny though because anytime I see one I'll check the price and without fail, someone else has already peeled the sticker to check the stamp

Some guy was selling his mom's Barbie collection. I should have bought more. This Harley Davidson doll is the second issue in the series, paid $20, will sell around Christmas.

Yard sale, love at first sight, will change the ribbon, keeper.

I do have a fabulous non-jewelry church sale find to photograph, cost a whole dollah.

Yes, when I do find it, rarely, it is outrageously priced.

Same here. It's worth little to nothing, but priced into the stratosphere.

I bought a bunch of silverplate trays and bowls the past two years to use as Halloween decor and on my dresser. They've all been $5 or less, but I have seen (and laughed at) the one GW that priced some trays at $20. They sat for a while before they changed the prices.

Allegedly the trays go for decent money on eBay? But most I see go for $20-30. There are some crazy outliers so I guess check the maker if you do see something.

I also found a sterling pitcher for $5 and still have it. I used it as a vase with dried bits and branches in for last Halloween and got multiple compliments on it hahaaa.
