    YES PLEASE :D

    These are beautiful!!

I love her! Idk what she's worth, but definitely more than $5! I would have picked her up too. I don't drink and i don't collect (in theory) steins but I've picked up a couple antique ones for the beauty of their craftsmanship. I'd have a tough time letting a unique one like this go! :D

Heh, only a few rather ordinary Russian spoons in my collection, but all are genuine, Russian silver has been widely faked for decades and still is - it's a complicated field, and one I seldom delve into. Will say that an awareness of Russian design and craftsmanship, as well as knowledge of how authentic hallmarks and maker's marks should look, is vital in considering and determining if a piece is genuine...

Does the monogram make a difference? Like would it sell less well and so a faker wouldn't put one on? Or were fakes made at the same time as originals a la the fashion handbags of today, so it would make no difference?

The monogram was most likely done to insinuate age, most collectors, myself included, like monograms, which on antique silver, are generally better-done than this one. Though made earlier, I started seeing fake Russian pieces in the '80s, some weren't too bad, a New York friend told me there were shops set up there producing them (lots of 'Fauxbergé' pieces), the quality has gone down more recently, some produced in China and India, Bulgaria another recent source, and there are also quality antique items by European makers given Russian marks.

Personally, doubt this spoon has much age, bright and shiny without signs of oxidation, both design and colorway atypical, with the sawn openings for the plique-à-jour sloppy and uneven, same for the cloisonné, the wirework awkward and not properly connected, some loose ends leaving cells open - not what would be expected of any Russian silversmith, and Kuzmichev was a quality maker. The marks are a bit fuzzy but St. George is poorly rendered and there's no assayer's mark...

Facebook Marketplace find-this entire lot was $50. Two 18" Miss Revlon dolls (brunettes and redheads are more rare.) One Little Miss Revlon doll. Clothing is not Revlon brand (not sure about the dresses they are wearing, ordered a reference book.) The trim on the two coats is mink.

Score! I'm not a "doll girl" but with all those clothes it has to be a score.

I called the owner last night and told her she needs to take it to a good auction house that deals in Russian silver, they will know if it is genuine :)

Really haven't been out except to drop off more things at my consignment shop and visit a few thrifts. Not vintage or antique, but I love this crossbody purse I picked up (pricey for a thrift at $16), but they retail for $44 or $48, they are sold out, and it's new without tags. It's the Oppusum Blossom line, never heard of the company, Sipsey and Wilder, really cool items. Also picked up a brand new Anne Klein credit card holder for $6.
