Lumii_20250726_182739685.jpg Sigh. Went to a show today, bought some things inside and out. I missed a vendor all the way out in the sticks until 2 and a half hours in. Kicking myself. The jewelry was either $5 or $1. But first some things I bought inside. Pricey, spent $100, but I love this bracelet.

There's more newer from the $1 box, no big thrills. This was $5, but since a stome was missing, it was $1. I believe these are older 14k earrings put on 60's pierced findings (they may be 14k.) Turquoise and pearl, I will replace the missing turquoise.

Sadly, no. I think it's plated, though. The stones sparkle like crazy, test higher than glass, maybe white tourmaline, pronged in stones. It's heavy, and it's a man's bracelet. For $1, I like it.

I think the bottom pair of earrings may be Victorian and may have been really old screwbacks. Either a back broke or some jackanapes replaced them with the cheap gold-filled wires.

That was my first thought, but they may be original looking at these similar earrings.

Ventured out to the last day of an estate sale I should have visited the first day. By what was left, they had tons of jewelry, much of it vintage. Oh well. Here's what was left, necklaces were 50% off today, so $6 each. The rosary was $4. Graduated garnet cylinder bead necklace, MOP, coral, onyx necklace. Sommerso Venetian glass necklace. St. Anne du Beaupre rosary. Opaline necklace $2 at my consignment shop. Czech bracelet a splurge yesterday, $40. Lumii_20250727_114919438.jpg

I visited Ste. Anne de Beaupre in Quebec way back when I was a teen. Beautiful place.

Finally got around to photographing some of the many smalls I have bought over the past few months. Have posted a few things here and there for ID but, for the most part, haven't posted any small finds in quite awhile. Looking over this stuff, I have gone for quantity over quality .... LOL!. All of this was dirt cheap so how could I say no? There was some personal appeal to all these things and I should be able to make a few bucks on them.

For some reason, there are a lot of wood items this time. Have also bought some mantiques, which is not my norm. Do pick them up when I can do so reasonably but usually few and far between. Will probably post over a few days so as not to overwhelm the board and myself ;)

I posted several Japanese boxes in PGP awhile back. This was bought at the same time but thought it Chinese so didn't post with the others. It is about 6" long so has some size. Bought for $3.00.
    thriftpot62.jpg

This glass reverse etched relief is Signed A. Vetta. Surely Italian but I can not find any real information about it. Bought for $3.00.
    thriftglass83.jpg

This lacquer tray with inlaid mother of pearl dragonfly was $2.00. Think probably Korean.
    thriftstuff8.jpg
    thriftstuff8a.jpg

This relish dish was a great find for $1.00. China service from the USS United States.
    thriftpot53.jpg

Little Japanese carved tray for $2.00. Always like the artistry of these carvings and think they are undervalued.
    thriftstuff9.jpg

Copper and enamel modernist trinket box. Think I had to pay $3.00 for this one.
    thriftstuff10.jpg
    thriftstuff10a.jpg

Nice large vase from Bruce Freund Art Glass. Was $6.00.
    thriftglass84.jpg

Think that is '97. Not sure what the squiggle to the left is.

These shaker style boxes are signed but I have not taken the time to decipher the signatures. Any help? Both have birdseye maple tops. Largest one is about 10" and the smaller one about 6". Think I paid $5.00 for the pair.

First might be by Canadian, Brent Rourke. Charish seller has one with same signature with a business card with his name. I don't see how you get Rourke out of that signature. Can't figure how to post a link on my phone

I think the second one is J something S -something. It's 61 out of 2000, so it was made in a decently-sized workshop.

    Here is some more stuff!

Hardly see much NWC native items here. You can bet I snatched these up when I spied them. First is an Orca carving by Ike Charlie for $5.00. About 2' tall. Second is a salmon by Larry Hunt for $3.00. About a foot long.
    thriftstuff11.jpg
    thriftstuff12.jpg

This celluloid box was $2.00. Maybe a collar box? The silk lining in the bottom is tattered but no quibbling at that price. Does anyone even buy these any more?
    thriftstuff13.jpg
    thriftstuff13a.jpg

Modern aquarium paperweight and a very old frit inclusion motto one. $2.00 each.
    thriftglass85.jpg
Couldn't pass up this large Wedgwood bowl for a buck.
    thriftpot54.jpg
    thriftpot54a.jpg

I continue to buy Mexican pottery despite little to no market here. This little box is about 3 1/2" diameter. Boxes sell well, so why not for a couple bucks?
    thriftpot55.jpg
    thriftpot55a.jpg

This nice turned walnut burl bowl was also a $2.00. Unsigned. About 6" diameter.

Fun finds! Brad, you probably know this already, the "KE" on the Mexican piece is for Ken Edwards.
