Lab stones in 14k(?) mens' rings; flux-melt sapphires and rubies started in the Victorian era. They were made for watch innards, and later used in Deco jewelry as a standard. I'd wear either in a heartbeat. The rings could be Victorian all the way up to Victorian Revival.

Found in the thrift store today.
Moonstone ring, unmarked. Acid tested 14k when I got home. I guess they thought it was costume.
    I paid $18.00
Hah! I know a gold ring when I see one!

    Taxco 925 earrings $15.00
Fully marked with workshop number on the back. This shop doesn't know how to check their jewelry.

Small sterling salt spoon, super tiny mark on back, says "Ramond sterling", paid $2.00
