The 1893 depression. There was food aplenty in the midwest.

    Nice vase!!!!

I am housebound until at least September 1- both feet/ankles have issues, left in a brace, right in a boot, have to keep feet up. ARG! These are pictures I took of a few small things beforehand

    1930s-1940s glass stone necklace

I liked this faux coral, turquoise, and pearl necklace because of the off-white and blue bumpy beads

This blue linde star ring was sold as sterling, but it is marked 14k inside

OMG! I know nothing about glassware/pottery, so I googled Moorcroft. Congratulations!!!!! What time period do you estimate this to be? :)

    I was a tad pleased. ;)

It's sun ray yellow flambe glaze, as far as I can make out. 1930s-ish backstamp. Not as massively valuable as some of their pots, but a nice find, indeed.

Hope your feet are all better soon, hon.

Ack. I hope you have a nice young hot guy hanging around to carry you everywhere.(LOL) The first shot is a thrift store find - Italian millefiori slice in an 800 silver setting that's been gold-plated. Not as old as it wants to be. I found the earrings in a pile of stuff I'd forgotten I had. They're opalite glass reverse-carved with storks or some other long-legged birds. 101_0054.JPG 101_0059.JPG

Looks like a heron to me, but that may simply be because I have seen manu more herons than storks.

That wouldn't surprise me, but odds are that makes the birds cranes. The designs look Japanese, but you never know.

This thread was hiding on the second page. This turned up last Thursday at a senior center jewelry/goodie sale. Sterling, mother of pearl and pearl. Heavy pin pendant combination. Price? Not much.

Too bad some one twisted it all out of shape !
