Thanks! It's one of my favorite gemstones.

If I ever find a working pocket watch in the near future, I'll definitely be sporting the niello fob.

London has a Breadboard Museum. How on earth have I never been there or heard of it?

I have never heard of it either. The handbag museum in Amsterdam is little known also, but worth a visit.

It has been quite awhile since I have posted to this thread. I buy all the time but most of what I buy, while it makes me money, is really not worth posting here. Here are some fairly recent exceptions.

Late classical chest bought at a thrift for $69.00. This one is a monster. 44" wide x 20" deep x 54" tall. Condition is pretty good other than veneer chips. Most notably seen along the bottom. Bonus is that most of the missing veneer chips are inside the drawer.

These two cone top beer cans were bought together at a thrift for $1.99. Condition is very good so I expect these will sell for $300.00+

This large original carter's ink bottle was $1.99 and bought the same time and place as the beer cans.

These Ozark tourist pottery jars are 16" tall. You don't usually find them this large. Bought from another dealer in our shop for $100.00. Expect to at least triple my money.

This sculpture is unsigned but I found it intriguing. Made of fired red brick-type clay it is completely 3 dimensional. About 12" tall. Bought at a thrift for $5.00.

This large Stromberg vase weighs about 10 lbs. Bought at a thrift for $5.00. It does have a water mark line of etching about 1" from the top that will need to be polished out.

This Alfred Wands stone lithograph was $20.00 at a large outdoor market.

This Augusta Rathbone print was $50.00 from another dealer in our shop. This is a keeper for now.

    I had fun today.

So, a rather nice watch. Not working, but pretty enough to wear as jewellery. I can't decide whether it's actually 14K or gold filled, but the stones are NOT glass. Anyone decipher the mark? Equivalent of twenty dollars.

Nice find! Maybe 10m stands for a 10 micron layer of 14k.
