A beautiful young women sitting in the glow from a c.1926 &quot;Golden Birdcage&quot; BQ-4 Perfume Light.</p><p><br /></p><p>It is one of 3 illustrations that were included in the catalog. All 3 illustrations were done by Bradshaw Crandell (1896 -1966). He was an American artist &amp; illustrator who was well known for doing portraits of many of the Hollywood stars of that same time frame.</p><p><br /></p><p>This particular piece is actually a page from the &quot;Stubbs Company Color Offset Advertising&quot; magazine. This company produced the 1926 DeVilbiss catalog. The company had locations in Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland &amp; New York.</p><p><br /></p><p>On the other side of the page there is a vivid description of the catalog itself, entitled &quot;Symposium of Art and Beauty&quot;. There is also a portion of a letter sent to the DeVilbiss Co. by a customer who was extremely impressed by the catalog.</p><p><br /></p><p>To the left towards the bottom of the page there is a drawing of 3 more DeVilbiss pieces from the catalog; a DK-16 dauber bottle, a N-15 atomizer &amp; a BL-13 Imperial Hanging Hearts perfume lamp.</p><p><br /></p><p>It measures 11 5/8&quot; by 8 1/4&quot;. </p><p><br /></p><p>I have it in one of those frames that is glass on both sides. It sits atop one of my Barrister bookcases on the other side of my desk, propped on a wooden easel.
