Norwegian skuvseng, a traditional farmhouse bed that extends in width. The front bears the inscription “Ole og Engri Olsdatter Hamre 1848”. It was purchased from Norwegian antiques dealer Kaare Berntsen approximately 37 years ago. Searching the Norwegian Digital Archive I have found a married couple Ole Iversen Hamre and Ingeri Olsdatter Hamre (Née Brevighaug) - they married in 1835, and had apparently had two sons, Ole Olssen Hamre born in 1838 and Ole Olsen Hamre in 1843. These people were a part of the Grytten Parish in Eid municipality, in Møre and Romsdal. The dogs did not come with the bed.

$100.
