Featured fisherman sketchpad drawing

    hi folks

    a drawing i found today. was in a bunch of old photographs (can post if anyone wants to see the photos as well, picked out some odd/interesting looking ones)

    unframed, think its from an artists sketchpad

    i really like it, musta taken ages

    any info insights or comments appreciated

    Isn't that interesting? A very ambitious perspective. And love the detail -- barefeet, knife, box. Yes, let's see some of the accompanying photographs.

    this caught my eye today deb, because of the signature, but missing the R part
    watcha reckon ?, nothing like his work, but the surname part is great match

    sorry pics are bad their photos of my mobile screen

    Fascinating. I suppose he could have just died. But signature? On the sketch? I don't see a signature.

    I hope not be honest as I didn't buy it

    Just didn't make sense that it was his work

    Missing the first initial as well

    Love the pics ! That little Lord Fauntleroy is fabulous ! The muscle pics will sell well on Feebay. Very popular amongst a certain demographic. :)

    I don't think it's the same signature.

    The photos are great! If you are selling them, the first one is considered an "occupational" -- butchers, maybe? Many people collect occupational photos. Also I see that at least one of your other ones is from a press agency. Some people collect those types, and as johnny mentioned the subject matter is of interest... to more than one demographic, I would think!

    The Little Lord Fauntleroy outfit is great, too.

    No afraid not, the cardboard backing has been trimmed off

    Oh, too bad... that could make it less valuable for selling. But if somebody likes the image for a collection, it could still do well.
