A decade or two either way of the turn of the century, and that it was designed for the traveling gentleman. The stand folds up so you can just stuff it in your bag when you go on a trip. It pops open and the hook holds your watch. There&#039;s a magnifying glass of a convenient size, power and distance from the hook to enlarge the dial of your watch, so that you can read it by candlelight in the middle of the night, should you wake up and wonder what the hell the time is.</p><p><br /></p><p>I&#039;ve seen LOADS of pocket watch stands, new and old. Glass. Brass. Silver. Wood. I&#039;ve never seen one that folds up AND has a magnifying glass. I had to have it! It&#039;s so quirky![/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
