Hi, I do not want to dissapoint you, but maybe the reason is that there is more than one? It looks like a print, and when yor search for "Harold Rigaud print" there turn up some more examples of your piece...

It has a different frame, journey.
I also think it is some kind of print. Very nice though, charming and bright.:)

Just went back & checked it after reading the comments & it may be a print - feeling it, it has no ridges or texture. But it's the most realistic one I've seen - never thought it might be a print from looking at it!
Thanks all - learned something today.

I hate hate hate this form of reproduction......
folks will think anything on a canvas is an original painting.....& used to be...they'd be right.....but then GICLEE came along...... grrrrrrr!

Hate to break it to you, but offset printing on canvas predates giclée.

Don't know a start date off the top, but I'm guessing... hmm... predates giclée by a decade or three.

Not as convincing as a giclée, though.

Honestly, I don't have a problem with any form of copy (if sold as such). Copies allow people who can't afford the original to have something they like in their home.

"Artistic Impressions Inc" has come up before as factory/giclee/decor only... if looking for resale value, one of their stickers might be a good sign to pass.
