How tall is it? How wide is it?

Hmmm, what are those three (dot?) marks on the side opposite the handle? I can read the "L" even with the "line" going halfway across the scenery.

Have you put a liquid (water?) in the cup up to that "line" and then all the way to the top to get two measurements on the capacity/capacities?

I really wonder what the meaning is of the two arrows pointing downward toward the mug's bottom. ;)

it is 2 1/4" tall 4 1/4" wide to tip of handle and 2 3/4" deep. oblong shaped. the dots are flaws, and the outside is crazed There is no writing as i can see. I don't know what the arrow things are either, part of the printing.

That's a bit late for a shaving mug.

    Ha!!!!!
I'm gonna bet artistic license has granted those arrows as two sailboats positioned/anchored end on.

Cute tea set Debora, But this is a cup, the sugar is the closest but has that lip on the inside and my cup has that shallow cut out on one side.

I would say shaving mug - EXCEPT - that it seems a bit shallow. You'd have foaming suds all over the place............

Yes, you must let us know how that "indent for resting spoon" works out. My spoons have been suffering extreme fatigue.

I found the "some crazing showing its authenticity" comment interesting... Trotting off now to verify the authenticity of my crazed-glaze pottery - wait, ummm, crazing makes them authentic what exactly???

Authentic tea cup, I guess, since she felt compelled to repeat "Tea Cup" so many times in the title.

I didn't think those were arrows. I thought they were SAILBOATS - without their sails... (Like tied up at a buoy or something?)

King, I haven't been following this one. I just saw the word ARROWS and said, "WHAT ARROWS? Those are SAILBOATS!"

    So, great minds think alike???
