Somebody's handwriting from 1921. Copy of a Rembrandt?

    La Haye

Rembrandt painted in 1536 (something) of the Prince of (somebody) The second Rembrandt after that of the Earl of Craneford(?) of London.

Are those art prints? It would be helpful to see the reverse.

Think the (something) is 'appartient': belongs to the Prince of ___-_____

    Year 1921 Price 1 1/2 florins(?)

Definitely help to see the context!! Loosely says ‘The Royal Museum of Art in The Hague (actually located in the beautiful Mauritshuis) / (museum index reference) Rembrandt /Painted by Rembrandt in 1636 and belonging to the Prince of Salm-Salm /The second Rembrandt after that of the Earl of Crawford of London / Year 1921 /Price 1.5 florins (kudos above for working that one out)’. The only Rembrandt painting I can immediately trace that belonged to the Prince of Salm-Salm is ‘Diana, Actæon, and Callisto’ now in the Wasserburg Anholt, so can’t see the link to the Earl of Crawford. As I say, really help to see what’s on the front of the sheet.

The French word 'florin' for the pre-euro Dutch currency usually translates as guilder in English (gulden in Dutch).
1.50 guilders in 1921 is the equivalent of 10.73 euros now.;)

Not crazy money at the time, then. A bag of coffee beans costs more now.
