French written prayer from 1813

Don't forget there are two versions of the Lord's Prayer. Catholic, shorter, and other, longer.

 

I'm t'other way round, I say Amen before everyone else if I go to a non RC thing!

 

Hope someone more fluent will also look. The last bit, starting at 'Ainsi', is not part of the prayer & seems more like an addition wishing that 'you' (someone correct me here) come out...and then there is a word with 'oo' in the center, above the initials, that does not look like French. Presumably it is praying for the welfare of the bearer (the soldier idea seems right to me). Someone (mother/wife/sister?) wrote this out so soldier could have something to remind him family were thinking of him that was extremely small & light always with him.

Si þin nama gehalgod

to becume þin rice

gewurþe ðin willa

on eorðan swa swa on heofonum.

urne gedæghwamlican hlaf syle us todæg

and forgyf us ure gyltas

swa swa we forgyfað urum gyltendum

and ne gelæd þu us on costnunge

ac alys us of yfele soþlice

 

Ainsi soit-t-il means so be it. Then I read Simon ???? Maybe the Name of the writer.

I think, if this were by someone famous, there would be an inscription on the frame or the back.
