Interesting box. Pretty sure it is German. Is this a stamp box? Measures 3 5/8" across, stands 1" tall. I assume the bottom name is a company name and the top name is the original owner of the box?

It says House (and) Kitchen Magazine (in German). Maybe for recipe cards?

edit: Just read the sizes you mentioned, looks too small for that, perhaps it was a gift with the magazine.

Screenshot_8.jpg They are in the 1905 Berlin Public Address book, so looks like a private address rather than a business:

Thanks Ce BCA. I wasn't sure about the 1st name. I am surprised this box is in good shape if it is that old.

The name and address are of the shop, not of the person who bought it, the last line is what the shop was, a home and kitchen supplies shop.
I guess it is a gift box for soap or something similar.

Yes, the "magazin" is the equivalent to a "store house".

The shop is on the ground floor and the owner's could be living above it.

Here is an example ... zoom in on the corner store.

Translation of first part according to Google.

An instruction from the Imperial General Post Office in 1873 combined the previous number with the direction of the compass to create a new postal district designation: Starting from the Hofpostamt Königstraße and Spandauer Straße, the then urban area of Berlin was divided into nine postal districts, which were sorted according to cardinal directions (C, O, SO , S, SW, W, NW, N, NE) or the direction of the respective terminal stations.
