In “The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming” an anthropomorphic latke escapes a kitchen into a forest and encounters a family. The father has an axe, and appears ready to cut a XMas tree. At the last moment he stoops to pick up the latke, bemused by the suggestion of particularly needing the axe for anything— and the family return home for Hannukah
