    Hi, I am a Southerner who loves antiques. I admire old homes, furniture, jewelry and more jewelry. It doesn't have to be valuable monetarily. I want to look at antiques and think of what kind of past is attached to it. I found an EIF Bar Pin at a yard sale for 25 cents, brought it home cleaned it and instantly got my favorite (magnifying glass) tool out, I probably spent a few hours learning all I could about the piece. It was made around 1920, art deco, amethyst in a gold tone setting. Someone wore this pin, its a moment in time I wish I could observe. Who was the owner, was it a gift? I was a kid in a candy store. The hunt is the treasure! So besides coffee and family, it's my favorite past time. I am thankful to be able to a part of this site and hear your stories about your items. Thank you!
