    Hi Lana,

Having handled a few glass paperweights over the years I would advise you to take your time and look it over carefully with a magnifying glass as makers marks are extremely hard to spot and if you are lucky you may spot a 'B' for Baccarat on a piece within the glass (not that I think this is Baccarat as the quality is not there, just giving you info on how to spot one).
Unmarked glass paperweights do not sell for much, generally between $5 and $20
I hope that I have been of some help.

Old Chinese ones don't have signature canes, but it's always worth looking at weights.

It's not really true to say unmarked weights are low value. Often, they can be attributed by characteristics other than a signature cane or scribed mark. I've a Clichy worth a few hundred dollars, not a signature in sight. Perth, Strathearn, Vasart, all often have not a clue on them in terms of a maker's name.

This is a 1930s Chinese, btw:

Got it. That's modern Chinese. You can tell from that ground base, for a start, and it's also a relatively common design. A very pretty one, though.

I like it - those older Chinese ones have some real character.
