Bought this at a bric a brac sale. Think someone may have prised off a silver collar and it has a couple of damaged red nodules. It's 9 and half inches tall and 3ins diameter at the base. There's something etched on the base which I can't decipher, I'm hoping someone may be able to read it or give some idea of the manufacturer/country, looking at the style. Thanks.

This is very tough, maybe someone will recognize the style.

Think I like it better in the original orientation:

I was trying to see if it said Czechoslovakia. But can't really make it out that way.

You might try searching Kralik to see what you can find.

Agree it probably had a sterling band.

Probably too expensive to have a new silver mount.
You could have the top cut and polished.

Think Kralik was a good suggestion, I found a couple similar referred to as thorn vases and the pointy bits called prunts which was new to me.

It's certainly Bohemian. Some variation of Czechoslovakia on the base, possibly in French. The collars were often British.

Thanks. It wasn’t a bad buy for 20pence.
