Thank you. Reckon it is a short compote then :)
#2231 has the same decoration also
I feel confident we have it nailed down to US Glass/Tiffin
Again, thank you very much Pat

I just took a look at the few other pages of US glass in this book. There is a similar shape with a ladle, that they are calling a whip cream bowl. There is also one of similar shape although it appears wider, and that they are calling a comport.

Both 2221 and 2222 in the picture are listed as comports

I wanted to stay out of this, my forte is 19th century glass. Tiffin. Tiffin was one of the US Glass Factories, when the Depression hit (the one at the end of the twenties) US Glass consolidated all its'' factories into the Tiffin Factory which became the headquarters for the combine. (I don't know when the last of the other companies ceased production) Beginning in the early twenties the bulk of the house-ware products were produced in Tiffin, so this name became (to the collectors in the late 20th/early 21 centuries) synonymous with US Glass production.

I have no opinion on the manufacture of the orange/black pieces above.

The WVMAG has a monograph on CHS which is very useful. I do not have access to mine.
