Does anyone recognize this coin/denar mounted on a cylindrical holder? It is decorated with what looks like a mosque, greek key, Islamic/Farsi inscription. Coins are not something I have knowledge about. I tested the coin and it is 10k or less.
    Thank you for any suggestions! IMG_1525.jpg IMG_1526.jpg IMG_1527.jpg IMG_1528.jpg

Off the top of my head, I don't know.
What does the edge look like, is it milled ?

It will be more than 18k if a real gold coin

THANK YOU!!!! It appears to be mixed metal - definitely not testing about 10k. Possibly a souvenir piece. Interesting none the less - we have a necklace that was given as a gift by the Nazim of Hyderabad. Small world!

The gold ones with that design are 22k Ashrafi, the silver (Rupee) are 80% silver and there are some smaller (Annas) made of nickel.
