    Yeah, I visited the 925 site earlier and saw the replies.

    Import is a possibility, but Debora might also be right — i.e. the extra mark could be the smith's own mark depicting the Vicenza town crest plus possibly his/her initials.

    But letting go of the quest might be good for us all. :) I’m just happy I found the issuer of the numbers — even if it turns out they are unresponsive.
