    hi all

anyone have an info on this high relief gold plated goblet
thought it was Indian brass when i saw it, but its not, a gold plated/washed unprecious white metal i think
are the figures more renaissance in style ?
not sure about age of it
    any thoughts appreciated

The figures are classical Greek in style. Maenads, the female followers of the wine god Dionysus (Roman bacchantes/Bacchus.) Not uncommon ornamentation for a wine goblet.

Interesting, not sure if it's repousse, if it were you would see the indented figures on the inside. The inside looks flat.

Think this is cast and, then, turned on the interior. Nice quality and some good age. Would think at least late 19th century. Could be a bit older.
