This is crystal and is 12 inches wide in diameter and 3 inches high. It is heavy and there are no markings on it. I looked for red crystal bowl in search, but the pattern is more like cut glass or just glass not crystal. I wish it was marked to make my search easier, but it is not and I hope someone will be able to help me with a date or if possible the maker. If you look carefully at one of the images there is like a thumb print on the edge and at the bottom has these slit like marks around the edge.
