Greek cuff links - any idea what the writing says?

They say Hand Made in Greece stamped right into the bottom. But the top...? I'm good, but not this good. The findings are costume, and they have what's probably a 14k rose in the center. Maybe 10k or 9k for that matter, but odds are it really is gold.

And this really is as clear as it gets.

Does the lower Greek word look like this?

The first letter looks like an M to me, but after that...not a clue.

I don't know for sure, I have pretty blurry eyesight, but it looks like GUATEMALA and perhaps CHICHENIZA on top of that to me. Is that a possibility? :cat:

Top word looks like STERLING to me - but who knows. Can't make much of the second word.

Maybe. But it doesn't seem like a probability. Altogether now: It's all Greek to me! It may very well be that it just says 'Hand Made in Greece' again, in Greek.

really strange since the "handmade in Greece" is so clear. looks like someone scratched the original to erase it :p

It was stamped before the pieces were assembled, stamp was not positioned flat on the piece as the rectangle like the 2 bottom stamps is only visible at the right hand side of the lower word.

I'm guessing it's meant to say Hand Made in Greece too. I was hoping there was something in there, but from the other images odds are whoever made these cuff links didn't mark any of them clearly. More's the pity.
