Hi, have bought this jug in the flea market (as always :) ). It's about 15.5cm high, signed Guerin, 9LD (not sure about the letters), the glaze is very unusual to me. I read that there was the Guerin pottery owned by the family, and some of items signed with this signature are older, and some are from 50s. How do you think, what is the age of this jug?

Sorry, I don’t know anything about it, but I just wanted to say that it looks more like a tankard or mug, rather than a jug. There is no pouring spout.

I have no idea either but I wanted to say that I LOVE that glaze!

I think it's a translation error; that "jug" would be "mug" here, probably for beer. Or coffee, if you're me!

thank you so much for your insights and info! I'm not sure about the purpose of this piece. It is about 0.9 l in volume, and typically beer bugs are either 0.5l/ 1l or 1 pint, however there are different types of pint. Anyway probably the Guerin forms catalogue could bring some light here, but it's not available online.
