Has anyone heard of a painter named Quispe?

    I'm sorry I can't post a photo; they are too big when I take with my phone.
    There is a painting of a S. American market scene and it's signed Quispe . On the back it's signed Quispe #5.
    I know there is a S American Andes(?) family that makes miniature scenes inside boxes but I can't find any painters - except 1 from the 1609's!
    The painting is nice - is there a known S. or C. American artist that is known?

    I suspect it's by a local artist, perhaps one who sells to the tourist market.

    Don't think you'll get much further. Quispe is a Quechua surname so you're correct re Andes.
