Has anyone replaced a mirror in a small frame?

All the broken pieces have been removed, Bev...without damaging the retainer lip of the frame, The liner looks like a slightly coarse blotter paper, but it has a hard finish; it is firmly adhered to the frame, an' also without damage; I'm leaving it as-is.
Hard to see without a circular object for contrast, but the probable cause of the breakage of the original mirror was the frame being dropped, landing on the rim. If you follow the line on the blotter, its upper end points generally to the indentation in the rim that resulted. It's not much, but it complicates the 'finish'; after the perfectly circular, exactly 2" diameter bevelled mirror disk is cemented to the blotter, the gap between its edge an' the inner edge of the retainer lip is irregular by maybe 0.020"; the broken mirror was probably 2.2" diameter. I had planned to fill that space with a black o-ring, chosen to fit snuggly into that void, yet not slip under the lip. A revised plan is under consideration, but meanwhile here are a couple pics. More as it happens!

So glad someone had the time and energy to do this. I prefer to repurpose antiques instead of buying new. When I took my grandson and our friends son to the Pilgrim Museum in Ptown yesterday, one of the exhibits is a sea captain's quarters. He looked at it and said, "This looks like your house." :)
