There are no signatures or numbers of any kind. </p><p><br /></p><p>Although it&#039;s backlit, one can discern an aesthetic sunflower or daisy at the base of the &quot;tree.&quot; The eagle detaches at the top of the talons, and apparently the wings were cast separately and joined to the body of the bird; they do not detach now. As you can see in the second photo, the detailing on the eagle is quite elaborate. </p><p><br /></p><p>It was purchased in the U.S. Midwest and there was no provenance available. Small clues make me think 1880s on this, but it&#039;s a guess. I have no idea who the artist might be.</p><p><br /></p><p>Are any of you sleuths able to track this down?</p><p><br /></p><p>Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving Weekend for those celebrating.
