Hello from sunny South Carolina!

    Hello Antiquers,

    My name is Greg and I'm new to the website. I'm 51 and live in SC with my wife and three children. I recently started going through some boxes that seem to follow us from home to home but never get opened, they are labeled "Greg's things to go through someday"....so I did. Now I have questions that need answers because some of the items are older and in addition to being interesting may actually hold some value. I'm hoping to make some new friends and begin learning about these things Ive toted around with me for the last 15 years. My Grandfather was a Brewmaster at Genesee Brewery and always had something cool to give me when I would do yard work for him. My Grandmother collected coins, the silver went to my Dad when she passed but I got pennies! Perhaps there is a jewel or two in there, we'll see.

    Greetings Greg! One of my great-uncles worked for Ballantyne; unfortunately all he left me were a few stories. Your stuff ought to be more interesting.

    Greg, welcome... and I SO can relate!

    After a couple of moves, I actually relinquished similarly marked boxes to the "moving guys" - as in, "Take it... I don't know what's in it, but you can probably make some money selling it on eBay."

    THAT was a move of desperation...In YOUR case, we'd love to see what you've got!
