    Greetings,
    My name is Ryan. Ive grown up around antiques my entire life. Im pretty sure my mothers kitchen table is older than she is. And the pieces in her cabinet and curio are even older. She spent quite a few years buying and selling on eBay in the late 90's - early 00's to make ends meet. And its rubbed off on me. A few years back I became interested in kerosene lamps. I have a couple in case we lose power but they are quite plain. That recently changed to either kerosene conversion/hurricane/GWTW/Rochester and things of that sort. I used to frequent the thrift stores for electronics. And sometimes made a profit if I didnt keep it personal use. But now its shifted to lamps and generally cool glassware. Im a huge fan of detail. When people cared about what they were creating. Everything today is too sterile and disposable. Im hoping to rescue and restore the aforementioned lamps from the local thrift stores and flea markets. My apartment is in a house built in 1918. So they will fit right in as regular use lamps. Until I find something else that catches my eye. My next post is in Furniture about a Goodwill find. Its a lamp and a half? or 3/4 of a lamp? I cant make a full lamp but its multiple pieces. Its odd. So if anyone has any input, that would be awesome. Oh, and its long winded. Like this.
