Help! Antique Nautical Furniture

I was given these three pieces of furniture yesterday from a friend. A bench, rocker and sitting chair. He told me that all he knew, was that his mother purchased them about 60 years ago. She told him they were from the Captain’s quarters of an old Danish ship. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!

Ca. 1890-1900 mahogany parlor set. Needs alot of TLC, but well built. Not sure about the captain's quarters part of the story, but in any case it may add to the story but not the value.

If in excellent condition this set might bring in the low hundreds in my part of the U.S. Midwest. However, this is a finely crafted set and well worth redoing, as it would be impossible to find any sofa and chairs these days even 1/10th as well done.

 

I can see how a story about a ship could start because of the resemblance of the decoration on the arms of the chairs to a ship's figurehead. And of course it could only be the captain who would have furniture of this quality.
