    Hello everyone!

I was wondering if someone could help me identify and maybe date this item? I think it is an ox yoke, but it looks like only one side? It was found under the floorboards of a civil war era addition to an 1808 house. It was being used as a floor joist. It may have been added later as a repair. Any help that you can give is really appreciated.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

To me looks more like part of the wooden part of a horse drawn sickle mower.....

It looks a little bit like the wooden piece that attaches to a sleigh to loop the horses reins into. Mrs. Claus has a sleigh and those pieces came with it. It depends on how long it is. Hard to tell from the photo.
