Featured Help ID mark on cinnabar tray

    I was wondering if anyone could help me identify what the mark says on this cinnabar tray? Thanks fir for any information.

    Very nice, rink. It could be cinnabar coated over a plaster core, instead of carved. Can you see layering on the sides of the carved parts?

    Here are a couple of pictures I took from an angle. I dontvreally see sny layers but I might not be looking at it correctly.

    I would guess the whole thing is a resin casting, not a bad quality one though. Here's the mark right side up.

    With @aaroncab here, the gloss and sloppy checkered background is making me think cast rather than carved ...impressive design, would be a killer piece if actual cinnabar lacquer!
