This chair has been in the family for at least since the 1960’s
It has no inscription and I would love to know it’s origin and if it worth anything.

Spanish revival. Possibly as early as 1930. Could be quite a bit later. Is that real caning or press-in?

    Hi Verybrad,
Thanks for your reply. The caning is sewn in and out. Looks like a lot of effort.
We lived in Manila from 1965 to 1967. Could Spanish be Filipino?

I think it could. I live in the Netherlands, and we have similar chairs here and in neighbouring Belgium. We call the style Renaissance Revival, a more general style name, not connected to rulers or colonizers. Most of 'ours' are 19th century, but they are more detailed than this one.
I know these chairs are also made in Indonesia, so why not the Philippines.

If the chair requires stitch caning then I'd go for earlier 20th century (ca. 1900) rather than later. Renaissance Revival works, or even Baroque Revival, given the enthusiastic carving.

Those are like the older, much more detailed and intricately carved chairs we get here. I don't want to put yours down, Philipp, it is nice, but there is a clear difference in carving quality. Which means a difference in value.
Try searching for Filipino colonial chairs, maybe you will find a similar one.
