All of the keys(inside)have their number burnt in. Pretty cool. Found this note inside. Cant really tell what it says or if it is important. But it is an interesting detail

Oscar Köhler was the manufacturer of the mechanical innards. founded around 1900. didn't find how long they were producing.

Yes, seems like it. It’s a bit smudged but it’s something along those lines

The way that piece of wood appears, Hoffman was probably someone who repaired or reinstalled that part. The lighter color around it is what makes me think replacement.

Unless mine eyes deceive me - it once had sconces on it.

Most likely yes, but my family said they had it without them. The local museum has a piano from this creator, theirs has sconces, though, they don’t know the history of it or it’s age since it was a donation from a person that also didn’t know the history.
    What a mysterious piano

in what part of Eastern Europe are you ? in a part that was formerly German ?
a research about Köhler shows that in most forums there is only one point mentionworthy - an elastic glue atop those sticks and springs that bring the hammers back to starting position.
