Help identify two old looking chinese urns?

    bottom.jpg No Brownen she also had a grandmom and she also had a grandmom and so on. There is a lot of history but I wont get in to that.

    I will bring it to an expert.

    Welcome to the forum antiquefan1:)
    That is probably the best thing to do. I like your pieces, nice to have 2 of them even if one is damaged.

    It would have been helpful to us if you had told us it has been handed down for several generations.

    I think an expert is a good idea.

    Make sure the expert or auction house you take these to are reputable. Please also let us know what they say.. Good luck

    I am in my 60s and my grandmother's grandmother was born in 1827, which is in the 19th century.;)
    If you are 24, I imagine your grandmother's grandmother would have been born in the second half of the 19th century, possibly even late 19th century.

    antiquefan, you seem quite certain about the age in relation to your family's history, the details of which you haven't told us.
    Do you have documentation that these were in your family's possession in the 17th century? If so, could you show us?

    At least we can count and do simple maths.. Take a box of tissues with you when you
    have your urns looked at by a expert (if you can find one in your own capacity,which I highly doubt) It won’t be happy tears..Cheers
