No, just if she had information. Sometimes there are old deeds or detailed documents referring to an inheritance. People in the 18th century were often very meticulous about lists. Boringly so.:playful:

Don’t want to be rude.. But this thread is now dead in the water...

So I will now just highjack it: :)
@Any Jewelry when you can please have a look at the cork walking stick I posted in the ‘Finds Thread’ (probably not the right place to post,if I have questions) but I would really like a opinion on the age..

@Boland , I just had a look. It isn't something I've seen before, maybe it is indeed a British thing, as you thought. The listings I found are mostly in the UK, they are probably the ones you already found. I'll post the links anyway, just to be sure:

The one below was in France, and the stick said to be French. The listing is on the Dutch Catawiki site, but you can probably understand it with your knowledge of Afrikaans? Otherwise, just ask.

the OP made an Ageism comment , attacking AJ on her post about grandmothers.
    but...
I personally find the 2nd sentence , more egregious ..... as Kyra replied to...

for me....just another Newbie who did not like being told that her rare and expensive pot.... is not !

but like Boland said.........I too believe the thread is dead..........at least from a getting more information standpoint.......:hungover::hungover:

    Although......there was a Hi-Jack .......... well played @Boland ,;);)
