Help Identify What Seems to be a Tabletop Bookcase

    I saw a pair of these that were very similar but not identical on 1st Dibs selling for $1200.00. They were advertised as Mel Smilow pieces. The one I have pictured is not marked and I cannot find another one like it online. It measures 18" long. Are these by the same maker? Is it a reproduction? Any and all thoughts are appreciated.
