Featured Help Identifying a Monogram on a Coral Necklace - Makers Mark?

  1. Necklace1.jpg Necklace2.jpg Necklace3.jpg Necklace4.jpg Hi,

I have this nice Pink Coral Necklace that I love. The Clasp is marked 14k. On the Clasp there is also a Monogram in Script. I cannot tell if it is an "MB" or as it looks upside down an "Lu". My question is whether this is a Maker's Mark Monogram that I have been unable to figure out through my research or if its potentially just the initials of the original owner.

Any information would be great, thank you. Hopefully my pictures are clear enough.

    Thank you,

    Stephanie

  3. Thanks Debora, I agree - although "NL" as a maker's mark does not come up in my searches either.

You may be right, it may be a monogram for whoever owned it. It could also be for the maker of the clasp, not necessarily the necklace.

I'm seeing NL as well, looking rather like a tughra.

  7. I believe you may be correct. I acquired a Gold Turkish Chain with this Coral Necklace. It would make sense.
