Thanks! Wow ... never would have guessed that ... with that ruffled/crimped edge. I do have both Fenton's French Opalescent and Anchor Hocking's Moonstone and they all blend together nicely. Hardly ever use these because it requires a toothbrush to properly scrub the crevices between the folds in the rim.

Well, its my best guess, based on google searches and such....... I don't have any books devoted to Fenton to take this further, at least for now.

I'd go with Fenton #389 Hobnail on this one. The bottom on most of the AH Moonstone pieces have a noticeable detail and AH didn't do this type of crimping.

I don't know if this will help or further confuse the issue but here is a picture of the page in Whitmeyer that I was using for reference.

The crimping takes too much hand work for Anchor Hocking and is typical of Fentons multi shape use of a basic shape mold.

I'm now convinced that my Anchor Hocking attribution was in error, and that my bowls are Fenton hobnail.
I am so grateful for the continued research and support of this quest.

I bought this last week thinking it looked like my mom's, which is Fenton Hobnail, however after comparing the two, I could see the difference in the crimps/ruffles, and I was unsure if design was ever done in clear glass anyway. My post has nothing to add as far as who manufactured your bowls. I can tell you one thing: whomever that was also made mine too, as I noticed the same 3-seam design in mine also. I'm happier, knowing there is someone else out there that collected something from that company also, whomever they are.
