Picked this up on the way out of an estate sale - I usually buy Sterling items and have no idea when it comes to furniture, just liked the design. I have searched but cannot find anything identical. Found some Victorian Occasional chairs that looked similar. Am I close? Thanks, and no cheap shots because it is pink!

Walnut simplified rococo revival chair ca. 1860. Pretty, but not worth alot in today's market. Glad you liked the design!

If it makes you feel better, call it "dusty rose". I can't tell for sure from one picture, but it does look to be late Victorian.

It may not be "worth a lot," but it is charming, and it looks comfy.

It would also go PERFECTLY with my living room rug!

It's charming. And nothing offensive about upholstery. So glad you're giving it a home.

(I even like the bit of a crease down the back. Keeps the chair frm looking as if the decorator just walked out!)

Styling is French. Look at the Louis XV and XVI chairs for comparisons. I am not thinking Victorian but more like mid-20th century or later for production. More pictures may be helpful.

So did my parents, except theirs came from the 1870s. The castors were the difference.
