    Hello everybody!

I need some help identifying who made these bust, time period and who they are supposed to be and value. Any information you might have would be helpful! They may be made by “Mauger & Fils” from France. The female has the ornate “MF” maker mark on the bottom and the male has the same “MF” mark with “80” below it and what I’m guessing is a “K” stamped on the bottom also. They are both about 14 inches tall and 7 inches wide. Thank you!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

@Nik0100 , looks like the right people who might be able to identify them (if they are identifiable) have not seen your post yet. I am commenting just to bump this back up to the top, since I don't know the answer. And welcome to Antiquers!

I would take these "Mayer & Fels" (Berlin / Milano) and "Mauger & Fils" (Paris) attributions with a big pinch of salt as all "attributions" seem to run around in circles with the same folk quoting each other ... all hearsay but no solid literature confirmation. At least the german part of that doll site contains a few bad / incorrect attributions so I would not take any of their info for real without a literature lookup.

Those are the most elaborate costumes that I've seen on busts of these types. :)
