Hi everyone, I have just acquired a very nice japanese bronze tiger, which has a small mark on the underside of the base.
I was just wondering if anyone could shed any light as to what the mark means
    I attach a photo
    Best regards
    John

Also, try for a sharper image of the mark.

    Hi
    Thanks for replies
Here is a picture of the tiger
He is about five inches long not including tail
Unfortunately can't get the mark any sharper as only a few mm wide

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Could you rotate the photo in different directions and post in this discussion thread? Maybe somebody will be able to make it out.

There are many of these tigers on-line, but none of the sites I looked at mentioned or showed a mark. ;)
