    Hi, I am trying to identify the mark on a porcelain cow (Delft?) to identify how old it is and whether it is worth restoring. Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

    Sis, do you think it could be one of those French replicas (antique)?

    Funny, I wondered if it might be French and not extremely old but I just don't know. I've not handled enough of the cows to guess. I did look through my best little old marks book (Chaffers) for French marks also but just didn't see it.

    AJ I was hoping you'd know:)

    :shame::)
    All I can say is that it doesn't look Dutch to me, so I thought maybe French. The pastel colours are sweet, but don't ring a bell.

    This is a similar one that they say is Dutch by Adriaen Pijnacker in the Cooper Hewitt Museum. The mark is different of course but there are some similarities. They date it 1690.

    Hi, first of all thanks to everyone for your replies. It's my first time on the forum and it's really awesome how helpful you all are!

    The one in the Cooper Hewitt museum does indeed look very similar, albeit with a different signature. I wonder if mine could be a later copy, but from what period (it looks/"feels" old and there is a very bad, ancient repair to one of the horns)?

    Thanks in advance if you have any more thoughts.
