Help Identifying Silver Marks and Purpose of This Item

    And then there is what looks like glue residue on the inside. As if a fabric lining was stuck on the inside. If it is indeed glue, it could be a jewellery box, as you thought. In which case the lid could indeed be the right lid for it.;)
