Featured Help identifying strange WWII ribbon

    Thank you for the replies! I appreciate all the help and input. I'll continue to conduct some research into his military service- I will definitely check out some of the links. I belive my grandparents have his service numbers, and I have his dog tags which have more information there to utilize.

    Great suggestion! it turns out it actually was not a homemade ribbon, and the mystery has been solved! I spoke to some members of US Militaria Forum as well. it is a ribbon of the Scabbard and Blade Society, which is a military honor society for ROTC members. It was started in 1904. So far, my family wasn't aware of his membership in this so it is some exciting news.
