Featured Help Identifying the Origin of a Candle Snuffer

then I am still of the opinion that it is not a snuffer or trimmer...... but some type of spreader..... as whatever edge there is , is on the outside....& the inside of the blades are flat and do not touch..............

but so far , I can not say what it is used for with any certainty..!!

 

Hanau was my first thought too. The whole thing looks just as silver as the blades do to me. Maybe it looks different in person. Interesting thing.
