I don't believe that artpal artist is the same.

Here is a Dong Kingman example from the California Style movement:
You can see the economy of brushstrokes, and the deceptively simple approach. I can see an influence in your piece. Edit: just to clarify, my comparison is for the genre. Kingman and the others I mentioned in this thread are in a league of their own, IMO.
